Custom Build – Fondriest TF2 1.5

It’s no secret that we love Fondriest bikes.  Justin spent a season thrashing around on the now obsolete TF3, and Nat progressed from a custom TF3, to the fluro yellow TF2 that you see her about on in the Summer months.

We were obviously thrilled when we finally got the chance to build up this blue beauty you see here.  There aren’t many bikes out there at the moment that drift away from the standard colour pallette of matte blacks, reds, and whites, so when you see this gleaming metallic hue in the sun for the first time, we’re left wondering why  many manufacturers remain so conservative when it comes to colour choice.

When matched to the striking design of the TF2 frame and the accompanying Reflex fork, everyone is going to be looking at you when you you’re out on this.  Trust us!

Unfortunately for all the Italian fan-boys, the customer opted for a complete Ultegra groupset, but we did get to finish it off with some brand spanking new Vision Trimax 35 Carbons which are hand built in Italy, along with goodies from Vittoria, Deda, and Selle Italia to keep it as Italian as possible everywhere else.

The TF2 is a wonderful frame for just about any purpose.  The handling is quick and predictable, and the ride is just sublime.  Whether you want to race it, tackle some sportives, or head to the mountains, this is a frame that can take it all in its stride.

Frameset prices start at £1,830.
